The West Must Accept And Adapt To The Multipolar World
It's 80% of the world versus less than 10%
This, above, is the ‘International community’ that is always mentioned in corporate media in ‘the West’.
80% of the world is missing from that picture.
Even in that picture, not 100% of Europe agrees with the policies of what the Anglo-American press calls ‘the West’ - which is nothing but the US and its satellites.
In contrast, check out the below picture.
Those in gray are the countries that refused to sanction Russia in the latest stand-off between Russia and the Anglo-American-controlled ‘West’. Again, not 100% of Europe supports the Anglo-American side in the Ukrainian conflict. And the 80% majority is now so against ‘the West’ that they bluntly rebuke ‘the West’s arrogant demands from them to support their foreign policy. Leading to diplomatic, but sharp responses even from India.
The countries in gray constitute 80% of the world’s population, they have the majority of natural resources, and a majority of them are growing economies in which actual products and services are produced.
In contrast, the economy in the West, especially the Anglo-American West is extremely financialized, generating its ‘GDP’ through the inflated financial sector that works on inflated stocks, derivatives, and an exorbitant amount of liquidity that is being pumped into the economy by its central banks like the US Federal Reserve and large private banks.
The GDP in ‘the West’ is so inflated and so hollowed out that companies like Tesla can have their stocks overvalued to 70x the value they should have, whereas some countries like the UK ‘just’ increase their GDP by declaring inane things like ‘homeowners create and consume housing services’ and including the non-existent rent income calculated over homeowners to its GDP.
The setup that exists today in ‘the West’ is geared for an imperial setup in which ‘the West’ plays the role of the owning masters whereas the rest of the world plays the role of the subdued, obedient colonies. The inflated GDP in ‘the West’ was supposed to be backed by access to and the ownership of the resources of the rest of the world.
This is a reality that no longer exists and it is one that can never be brought back.
The rest of the world now has the technology, infrastructure, and armaments that make such an imperial setup impossible.
The majority of the world is now using the Ukraine conflict to pivot away from ‘the West’ and create a new, multipolar world that is being formed at this very moment. Countries from SCO & BRICS and the countries who participate in these organizations as observers and partners are having serial meetings in Asia for a while, expedited by the economic situation that the sanctions war of the US has created. A multi-polar world that works on international law as opposed to a concocted ‘rules-based’ order. It is an order in which the countries can participate as equals, as opposed to anyone dictating anything to anyone else.
Moreover, they have nuclear weapons and other weapons to defend the emerging world.
The old world order is never coming back. White supremacist imperialism and colonization days are over.
Therefore, there is no sense on behalf of ‘the West’ to keep hanging to a 200-year-old world order that no longer exists.
Especially at the cost of missing the money train that is soon to leave the station. The train that will be leaving for the New Silk Road, BRICS, and SCO. It is a train that will bring so much money in the following decades that it defies calculation. Moreover, its money that is backed with actual goods and services, instead of the hot air that backs up the current Anglo-American financial order.
All that ‘the West’ needs to do is to accept that there is now a multipolar world, realize that relations have to be on egalitarian terms based on international law instead of anything like ‘rules-based order’, and start mending relations.
Again, at this point, some of those who read the above lines may err in thinking that the former dominance of ‘the West’ can be somehow maintained due to whatever perceived ‘superiority’ of ‘the West’.
It cannot be maintained. Those days are over: The majority of the world is aligned behind the multipolar movement. And they have the power to back it up.
It’s time for ‘the West’ to do the rational thing and adapt to the multipolar world.
